He is a dapper gent. Gotta love those bow ties. And here is a SIMPLE diy for your furry friends. You really only need a few items. And they are all super affordable! I made the Gold and Red Bow Ties and bought the blue striped one from Sweet Pickles Designs on Etsy. They attach to your cat's collar which makes this kitty craft super easy.
Instructions
Most of them will have a metal clip on the back of the bow so you can attach it to your hair. I just cut the clip away from the fabric to make room for the elastic. Once you cut away the metal clip there should be a loop of fabric that you will feed your elastic loop through.
Then take about 2-3 inches of elastic, and tie a tight knot so there is a loop that used about 1 inch of elastic. Then cut off the excess. You want the elastic to be pretty tight against the collar so it doesn't move around, but just stretchy enough to get around your collar's plastic clips.
Once you have a sturdy knot just slip it onto your collar and you have a kitty bow tie!
You can go all out and sew your elastic like a pro. But this is really a quick way to do it. If you want the real thing look on Etsy for cat collars. They are several stores that make chic kitty accessories.
Good Luck!
